1) Unfortunately the NYC Columbus Day parade has to be cancelled due to a Nor'easter that hit the area. However Channel 7 did show a 1 hr program interviewing the NY honorees and grand marshall of the parade. 2) Long Island celebrated Columbus Day with their own parade. This year it was moved to Deer Park and it ran on Saturday the 18th. Many came to enjoy the events and celebrate their Italian heritage. Pictures from the parade can be seen here on Facebook: https://www.facebook.com/share/p/19yBYpycrR/
